The Electoral Commission will tomorrow, Thursday, 25 October 2018 begin the exhibition of the voters register in the 47 districts of the six regions to be carved out of the existing ten.
Some 2,177,751 voters will have the opportunity to verify their details when the exhibition begins.
According to the Chairperson of the EC, Mrs Jean Mensa, all is set for the exercise which will end on 31 October 2018.
It follows the limited registration exercise carried out by the commission in the referendum enclave.
Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, 24 October 2018, Mrs Mensa said: “The exhibition will take place in only the 47 districts in the six regions to be created.
“All polling stations within the areas of the referendum would be designated as exhibition centres for the display of the provisional register for public inspection. All exhibition centres within the areas would be opened from 7 am each day and will close at 6 pm each day, from the 25th of October to the 31st of October at the specified areas and it will include Saturdays and Sundays.
“During this period of exhibition, both the 2018 provisional register and the 2016 voters register would be placed at the exhibition centres for prospective voters to verify their details, as captured, and make requests for an amendment on sessions where necessary”.
