Free Passport forms: No more “goro boys”-Migration Information Centre Boss.


Head of the Migration Information Center (MIC) in Sunyani,Supritendent Haruna Alhassan has said the activities of “goro boys” has ended as the acquisition of passport forms will be done online henceforth.
A satement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said, the forms effctive November 1, 2018 can be accessed or download on the ministry’s website through a PDF format.
The introduction of the PDF form is part of measures to make passport forms readily accessible to all Ghanaians.

Speaking on Dinpa fm’s anopa bosuo show today, November 2, 2018, Supt Alhassan explained that ,the activities of middle men popularly known as “goro” boys has been rendered needless with the introduction of the online application.
He added that, the payment of Ghc50 and Ghc100 to purchase the old hard copy regular and express passport forms respectively remains unchanged.

He hinted that, the foreign Affairs ministry is in the process to assist persons who are in need of a day or two emergency passport.
”Perons who have less knowledge about ICT can seek help from the experts and knowledgeable ones or get assistance from the internet cafe ” he said.

”We will soon begin educationin the various communities starting from Sunyani and its environs” he stressed.

Steps to follow in accessing the PDF Form;

Visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration website – or

Click on the Passport menu

iii. Read instructions and click on download passport forms

Click on make payment and follow steps

A voucher PIN would be instantly sent to the applicant by text message

The PIN should be written on the space provided on the printed form

vii. Submit completed application form with relevant documents to preferred Passport Application Centre for processing.
