The Local Government Service has accused some public servants in four districts of the Upper East Region of unprofessional conduct.
This follows a nationwide investigation of public sector workers by the National Security Council.
A letter dated 27 November 2018 and signed by the Acting Chief Director of the Local Government Service, Mr James Oppong-Mensah, accused some public servants of either idling at work or extorting money from clients before carrying out their official duties.
The affected districts include Bongo, Kassena-Nankana West, Nabdam, Builsa South and Builsa North.
The affected officers have been warned against such acts.
Speaking to Class News, District Chief Executive for Builsa South, Daniel Gariba said the assembly has taken steps to address the issue.
