Ghana’s Electoral Commission has set Monday, 17 June 2019 to begin the limited voter registration exercise.
An injunction application against the exercise forced the election management body to put it on hold until after the court dismissed the case recently.
The limited exercise will end on Sunday, 7 July 2019.
In a statement signed by Chairperson Jean Mensa, the EC said it was announcing “for the information of the general public that the limited voter registration exercise will now take place from Monday, 17 June 2019 to Sunday, 7 July 2019”.
It would have started on June 7 and ended on June 27 had the initial plan been stuck to.
